It’s that time of year again! Highlands Motoring Festival has grown from a one-day car show on the plateau to a four-day and evening festival and has become one of the South’s most popular automotive events! It was even voted Best Concours by Classic Motorsports Magazine in 2019. This year’s gala is Saturday, June 10, from 6 - 9 pm at Wildcat Cliffs Country Club.
One of HMF’s greatest assets is the town of Highlands, NC. A sparkling jewel during June, its high elevation ensures relatively cool summertime temperatures. The surrounding mountain landscape is not only a gorgeous backdrop, but also the source of twisting mountain roads that attract driving enthusiasts from around the world.
The other greatest asset is, of course, the people who make up this town. Highlands Motoring Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting local human needs charities. And without the generosity of so many philanthropic individuals and families, HMF would not be able to help spread the wealth to those who help support the community in so many ways. All proceeds benefit three local non-profits – REACH of Macon County, Community Care Clinic of Highlands-Cashiers, and The Literacy & Learning Center. The Mission of REACH is to eradicate domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking crimes in Macon County, through prevention, intervention, and educational services. Community Care Clinic’s mission is to provide free medical care in a caring environment to those in need. And the mission of TL&LC is to enrich lives and expand the knowledge of children, adults, and families through diverse educational programs that advance literacy in its many forms and to promote lifelong learning, which results in an informed and empowered community.

Enjoy spirits and spirited conversation with a sit-down dinner, auction, and program featuring one of the greatest endurance racers of all time – Brian Redman! He will discuss his career in driving the great tracks around the world in nearly every category of racing.
