Currently Seeking After-School Program Volunteers
The After-School Program Volunteer is a vital member of our organization, contributing to the positive development and enrichment of school-aged children during their after-school hours. Volunteers will support the program's activities, assist staff members, and engage with students to create a safe, engaging, and productive environment.
Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday, 3 - 5 pm. If interested, we would greatly appreciate your help any days and times that work best for your schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with students in a friendly and positive manner, fostering a welcoming and
supportive atmosphere.
- Assist program staff in organizing and supervising various activities, including homework
help, arts and crafts, sports, and educational games.
- Provide guidance and support to students working on their homework assignments,
ensuring they understand and complete their tasks.
- Encourage good behavior, respect, and cooperation among students, intervening as
needed to maintain a harmonious environment.
- Maintain a vigilant watch over students to ensure their safety at all times, both indoors
and outdoors.
- Help tidy up the activity areas after each session, ensuring that materials are organized
and spaces are left clean and orderly.
- Communicate effectively with program staff, sharing insights about student progress,
challenges, and ideas for improving the program.
- Demonstrate positive values and behavior for students to emulate, acting as a role
model and mentor.
Qualifications:
- A strong desire to work with children and contribute to their personal and academic
growth.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle diverse student needs and behaviors.
- Reliable and punctual attendance during program hours.
