MISSION

The Literacy and Learning Center’s Pre-K mission is to provide a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can discover, explore, and learn through meaningful play. Our program is designed to cultivate an environment where children and their families naturally feel at home, becoming integral to a caring and supportive community. We are committed to fostering a solid foundation for lifelong learning, promoting social-emotional growth and critical thinking.

FREE
Monday - Friday  |  8 am - 12 pm
Begins Tuesday, September 3


Follows Highlands School schedule
Licensing is in progress, so further details will follow at a later date.
Requirements:
  1. Must be age four by September 1

  2. Must be toilet trained

  3. Immunized with proof

  4. Parent/guardian and child must attend a play-based assessment at TL&LC (May 4 or May 18)

  5. Parent/guardian must attend at least one short parenting workshop at TL&LC (days/times TBD)

  6. Parent/guardian must agree to TL&LC policies

  7. Parent/guardian agrees to read to child at least 15 minutes per day

  8. Students must bring their lunch and snacks each day

  9. Must provide proof of income

A proud graduate of UGA with a degree in Child Development and Early Childhood Education, Carolyn brings over 30 years of experience to her role. Her dedication to early childhood education has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young learners.

Tinker Time for Tots: Number Sense

A series of engaging workshops aiming to empower parents by demonstrating inventive ways to utilize everyday household items for their children's educational benefit.
