Summer Camps
For Rising K - 8th Graders
GETTING READY for KINDERGARTEN
with Carolyn Middlebrooks
Rising Kindergarteners
Aug 12 - 16
9 am - 12 pm
Tailored for young learners preparing to enter kindergarten, this camp focuses on essential skills such as taking turns, raising hands to speak, transitioning from parents, and mastering table and carpet etiquette. With engaging activities centered around colors, shapes, and basic academic concepts, our experienced instructors guide campers in a supportive environment to cultivate good student habits while fostering independence and enthusiasm for learning.
PLEASE NOTE: It will be necessary to create a free account to register your child for summer camp.
Snacks will be provided.
Youth
After-School Enrichment
(K - 3rd Grade After-School)
Children in grades K - 3 meet Monday through Thursday for homework assistance and engaging educational activities. These activities are available in part thanks to partnerships with other local nonprofits, including The Bascom, Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, Highlands Biological Foundation, International Friendship Center, and Hudson Library.
Homework Helpers
(4th - 12th Grade After-School)
Students in grades 4-8 meet Monday through Thursday for assistance with homework, papers, research, and overall comprehension of the student's curriculum.
Reading Bootcamp
(Phonics Intervention After-School)
Individual and small group phonics intervention is available for students with critical literacy need on Fridays
during after-school.
Individual Tutoring
(K - 12th Grade After-School)
One-on-one tutoring is offered during after-school, typically twice a week for one hour for students of any age in
any subject.
GED
(High School Equivalency)
Self-paced online preparatory courses are offered to help students pass their GED test and to better prepare them for the workforce. Follow-up equivalency test fees for area testing site are also covered.
