Summer is just around the corner, and TL&LC is gearing up for another season of enriching summer camps! Our camps provide a fun and engaging environment where kids explore new skills, expand their knowledge, and make lasting memories.


TL&LC needs your help to make this summer unforgettable! We're seeking donations of essential supplies to fuel our creative camp activities.

Shop our Amazon Wishlist! We've created an Amazon Registry with the specific supplies needed for our summer camps (Summer Camps 2024). From arts and crafts materials to science experiment kits, your purchase will directly impact the learning experience of our campers.

Summer Camps
For Rising K - 8th Graders

10 am - 1 pm
Campers will learn how to prepare a dish, follow a recipe, put together a family dinner with an appetizer, entree and dessert.

1 - 4 pm
Campers will learn site design through engagement with guest speakers, digital research, leadership skill building, and more.

Campers will engage in a dynamic blend of educational and adventure activities, fostering curiosity and exploration. From interactive science experiments to outdoor nature walks, each day promises exciting learning opportunities in a safe and supervised environment.

Rising Kindergarteners
Aug 12 - 16  
9 am - 12 pm
Tailored for young learners preparing to enter kindergarten, this camp focuses on essential skills such as taking turns, raising hands to speak, transitioning from parents, and mastering table and carpet etiquette. With engaging activities centered around colors, shapes, and basic academic concepts, our experienced instructors guide campers in a supportive environment to cultivate good student habits while fostering independence and enthusiasm for learning.
PLEASE NOTE: It will be necessary to create a free account to register your child for summer camp. 
                     Snacks will be provided.

For Caretakers of Toddlers

Practical tips for parents of young children especially those entering Kindergarten
Ready, Set, Learn! A Parent Guide
August 1
5 pm
Join us for Ready, Set, Learn! A Parent's Guide, packed with fun and practical tips to get your child ready for school success, no matter their age. 

While this event is geared towards parents of incoming kindergartners, all parents with young children are welcome. Learn valuable skills to help your child thrive, from basic self-care like using the restroom independently to fostering a love of learning through play and exploration.

After-School Enrichment
(K - 3rd Grade After-School)
Children in grades K - 3 meet Monday through Thursday for homework assistance and engaging educational activities. These activities are available in part thanks to partnerships with other local nonprofits, including The Bascom, Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust, Highlands Biological Foundation, International Friendship Center, and Hudson Library.
Homework Helpers
(4th - 12th Grade After-School)
Students in grades 4-8 meet Monday through Thursday for assistance with homework, papers, research, and overall comprehension of the student's curriculum. 
Reading Bootcamp
(Phonics Intervention After-School)
Individual and small group phonics intervention is available for students with critical literacy need on Fridays
during after-school. 
Individual Tutoring
(K - 12th Grade After-School)
One-on-one tutoring is offered during after-school, typically twice a week for one hour for students of any age in
any subject.
(High School Equivalency)
Self-paced online preparatory courses are offered to help students pass their GED test and to better prepare them for the workforce. Follow-up equivalency test fees for area testing site are also covered.
