The Literacy & Learning Center recently hosted a successful fall fundraiser featuring the renowned author Shelby Van Pelt. Van Pelt, author of the acclaimed New York Times Bestseller "Remarkably Bright Creatures," captivated the audience with her insights into literacy and her personal writing journey.
Celebration of Education was a success, raising funds to support TL&LC's mission of promoting literacy and learning in the community. Guests were treated to a delightful evening filled with Van Pelt's heartwarming and thought-provoking stories. She shared the inspiration behind her novel, delving into themes of loss, resilience, and the unexpected connections that bring joy and hope. Attendees had the opportunity to meet Van Pelt and have their books signed.Ā
The night also included a delicious dinner, a raffle with several exciting items, and many guests walked away with an exciting vacation packet.Ā
