The Literacy & Learning Center is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of its students. This month, the center eliminated ultra-processed foods from the after-school program as part of this commitment. TL&LC now only serves fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and non-ultra processed snacks to ensure its students receive nutritious snacks to support their growth and development.
This change reflects the center's understanding of diet's significant impact on children's cognitive function, energy levels, and overall health. By providing whole, non-ultra processed foods, the center aims to establish healthy eating habits that will benefit its students in the classroom and beyond. TL&LC believes this new policy will contribute to a positive, nurturing environment where students can thrive.
The Literacy & Learning Center is dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching experience that addresses not only academic needs but also the physical and emotional well-being of each child. By prioritizing nutritious food, the center is investing in the long-term health and success of its students.
