The Literacy & Learning Center is pleased to announce that registration is now officially open for its Pre-K program for the 2026-27 academic year. Dedicated to establishing a robust educational foundation, the program provides local children with enriching early childhood experiences designed to foster long-term academic success.
The Literacy & Learning Center’s Pre-K is completely free of charge, although parents are asked to pack a snack for their child.
To be eligible for enrollment, children must turn four by January 1, 2027. Additionally, all students must be fully potty-trained before the start of the school year.
Application Process and Deadlines
The center has streamlined the registration process for interested families. Application forms are available for download at theliteracyandlearningcenter.org/pre-k. Completed documentation should be submitted via email to Carolyn Middlebrooks, Pre-K Director, at CMiddlebrooks@TheLiteracyandLearningCenter.org. While registration is ongoing, the priority deadline for submitting applications is June 1.
Developmental Readiness
Following the initial application phase, prospective students will be invited to participate in a scheduled playdate. These informal gatherings are a vital component of the admissions process, allowing TL&LC educators to observe and assess each child’s developmental readiness in the classroom.
