TL&LC Presents at Highlands Chamber Chat

As a member of the Highlands Chamber, The Literacy & Learning Center was a featured speaker at the January Chamber Chat. These events promote networking and exchanging ideas and information among community members.

Caroline Cox, Programs Manager, represented TL&LC and spoke on the day's topic of Child Care. Caroline discussed TL&LC's many programs for youth, focusing in particular on our two after-school programs: Homework Helpers for fourth- through eighth-graders and After-School Enrichment for Kindergarteners through third-graders, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library provides books for Macon County children from birth to age five, and Pre-K for four and five-year-old children. Among our adult programs, Caroline highlighted the GED preparatory course, which is planned to shift from an online to an in-person structure this year.
